We've some new folks joining our staff for 2019, and some returning faces as well. Back after a short hiatus is Applachian flatfoot dancer, Rebecca Stout. Also returning this year is Henry Barnes (Appalachian Oldtime Fiddle), John Herrmann (Oldtime banjo), Jesse Maw (Texas-style, swing and jazz fiddle), Nina Weisman (mandolin), Jennifer Albrent ("beginner-mediate" fiddle) and Max Schwartz (upright bass). In addition to Jordan Tice, new to the camp will be Carolyn Kendrick (bluegrass fiddle), Jake Howard (mandolin), Daniel Plane (Cello) and Rachael Price (vocals). We're still in discussion with a couple more instructors, so stay tuned.

Camp starts Sunday with registration and some of our best introductory classes, and continues that evening with dinner, staff introductions, questions and answers, jamming, and a first-night dance. Monday through Wednesday will include classes each day with instrumental and vocal instructors (about ten students per teacher for these classes), jam group classes, and elective classes--including more instrumental choices, vocal harmonies, clogging, music theory, songwriting, and more. Evening activities include staff and student concerts, an old time dance, and lots of jamming. Wednesday evening there will be a post-camp/pre-festival concert and workshops.
